Mel Colman is an operator and consultant working with fashion and lifestyle brands.

With nearly two decades of experience inside founder-led businesses, she has worked across fashion, e-commerce, wholesale, retail and property. She takes a hands-on, commercial approach, working closely with founders to shape direction and move things forward.

For over a decade, Mel has led Zulu & Zephyr as General Manager—guiding its evolution from an independent swim label into a globally recognised 8-figure lifestyle brand, leading operations across Australia and the USA. She has shaped strategy through seasons of growth and challenge, built high-performing teams, and introduced operational rigour to some of the brand’s most defining moments.

Through her consultancy, Mel partners with early-stage founders and small to medium-sized teams, offering practical support across operations, strategy, and leadership. Known for her calm presence and considered approach, she helps businesses cut through complexity with perspective and a cross-functional lens.
